FAI Virtual SGP
Following on from the great success with the 1st Virtual SGP, which welcomed 410 pilots in September 2021, we are happy to announce that there will be a Virtual SGP series running in parallel of the 11th Series, providing all virtual gliding enthusiasts with an opportunity to compete with the real events.
There are 10 Virtual SGPs qualifying events around the world in 2022 and 2023, where virtual pilots are able to qualify to the Final event.
The 2nd Virtual Sailplane Grand Prix - World Final will take place in Pavullo, Italy, at the same time as the 11th FAI SGP World Final, in August 2023.
Registration
The registration requires a very modest fee from the competitors (3€ per qualifying event or 15€ for all events), so the organization team can plan and prepare the World Final 2023.
Sponsors and partners will pay for most of the fees required to host the World Final. The pilots who will qualify to the World Final 2023 will NOT have to pay a fee, as we want a fair selection process via our races.
Rules
We want to race as close as we can with the real world.
We are using the similar rules and selection process, as the Sailplane Grand Prix. Rules are adapted to Virtual Gliding to allow a great number of pilots to compete and score points.
