Virtual SGP in Sweden has started!

The first event of the 2nd Virtual Sailplane Grand Prix takes place in Boras, Sweden, at the same time as the first evetn of the 11th Sailplane Grand Prix series.

The pilots had to fly 289km through the lakes of Sweden. The northern winds allowed them to fly to the sea, with a Turnpoint (3) located in Morup. The weather was pretty nice with a few cloud streets and cumuluses at around 2000m MSL

You may find pictures of the race above, from Tim Madsen (DEN).

The first winner of the event is Tamas Mayer from Hungary! Congratulations Tamas!

He is followed by Witold Rozak and Kresimir Hrastovec. All of them are amongst the best virtual pilots, as they already competed to the 1St Virtual SGP - World Final in September 2021.

There will be 10 Virtual SGPs qualifying events around the world in 2022 and 2023, where virtual pilots will be able to qualify to the Final event.

The top 2 pilots in Sweden will qualify to the World Final 2023.
